Holiday Lane Pillow Blog Hop

Hi everyone!  I hope all of you in the United States had a Happy Thanksgiving and everyone elsewhere had a wonderful day too.  I had a quiet and peaceful day, just what I needed.  Thank you for all the sweet comments about the passing of my sister.  It still is very hard to not pick up the phone and call her like I used to, several times a day.

This Holiday Lane Pillow Blog Hop has really helped my spirits.  I wasn't really feeling like the holidays, until I did some final touches to this pillow and took the photo.  I might even decorate my house soon.  One room at a time.

First, let me thank Madame Samm for finding these wonderful patterns and inspiring us to join together on a project.  This one was lots of fun and just in time for the holidays!  I would also like to thank Pauline.  She has done such a great job of keeping the schedule all together.  I know it is a difficult thing to do, but job well done!  Hope you are feeling much better!

Here is my pillow.  I wanted to buy nothing for this and use all scraps.  Well, I did it!  Everytime I see a new project online, things have a way of making it into my house.  I really just needed to clean out the closet and take a good look at my scrap pile!  I love this pillow!  It's easy and cute!  I don't have a chair wide enough for it, but I think I'll put it on a bed for the holidays.  My oldest son is coming home for Christmas and it would brighten up his room.

I found some sequins and made some tiny decorations for the door and the other window.  I must say that I was never very good at sequins.  Maybe I need a lesson or two.  I'll have to check that out on Youtube.

Thank you all for stopping by and checking out my pillow project.  Please make sure you visit all of the other talented folks on this list.  There are so many beautiful pillows out there!

Have a wonderful weekend and week ahead.  Don't forget to take a moment to tell you loved ones how much they mean to you.  Thanksgiving or not, be thankful for all of the people in your life!

Big Hugs!

Susan

Very cute. I feel your pain with sequins, and the older I get the more my eyes don't like those teeny tiny holes to see either! LOL!
